Regular Cleaning

Regular cleaning is one of the most effective ways to maximise the lifespan of your commercial resin coating flooring. Sweeping or vacuuming the floor on a daily basis will prevent dirt and debris from accumulating and damaging the coating. A thorough cleaning with a mild cleaning solution and a soft-bristled brush should be done weekly to remove any stains or marks.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals

Harsh chemicals such as bleach, acids, and solvents can damage the resin coating, leading to discolouration and peeling. Avoid using such chemicals, and instead opt for a mild cleaning solution that is specifically designed for resin flooring.

Regular Maintenance

Commercial resin coating flooring requires regular maintenance to prevent wear and tear. It is recommended to have the floor inspected and maintained by a professional every six months to identify any potential issues and repair them before they become significant problems.

Use Protective Mats

Protective mats are an effective way to prevent scratches and scuff marks on your commercial resin coating flooring. Mats should be placed at entrances, under heavy equipment, and in areas with high foot traffic to minimise damage to the flooring.

Temperature Control

Extreme temperatures can cause the resin coating to expand or contract, leading to cracking and peeling. It is recommended to keep the room temperature between 15–25°C to maintain the flooring’s integrity.

Repair Any Damage Promptly

If you notice any damage to your commercial resin coating flooring, such as cracks or chips, it is important to repair it promptly. Leaving the damage unattended can cause further damage and compromise the integrity of the entire floor.

Maximising the lifespan of your commercial resin coating flooring requires regular care and maintenance. By following these tips and strategies, you can ensure that your investment lasts for many years to come. Remember to regularly clean your flooring, avoid harsh chemicals, use protective mats, control the temperature, and repair any damage promptly. By doing so, you can enjoy a beautiful and durable floor that will benefit your business for years to come.
